About JULIETA

I am an experienced international Mathematics educator with over 18 years of teaching experience across IB Diploma Program (AI and AA), IB MYP, IGCSE, VCE, and other secondary mathematics curricula. Throughout my career, I have taught students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds, helping them develop confidence, critical thinking, and a genuine understanding of mathematics.

My passion for teaching comes from seeing students overcome challenges and realize their potential. I believe that every student can succeed in mathematics when provided with the right guidance, encouragement, and learning strategies. As a former Head of Mathematics Department, I have extensive experience supporting students of varying abilities, from those needing extra support to high-achieving learners aiming for top results.

During the pandemic, I successfully transitioned to online teaching and discovered how effective and engaging virtual learning can be when lessons are carefully designed around students' needs. I am now excited to continue helping students achieve their academic goals through personalized online mathematics instruction.

About the lesson

With over 19 years of experience teaching Mathematics in international schools, I specialize in IB Diploma Program (AI and AA), IB MYP, IGCSE, VCE, and other secondary mathematics curricula. My teaching approach focuses on building conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence through personalized instruction tailored to each student's learning needs and goals.

I use an inquiry-based and student-centered methodology, combining guided practice, real-world applications, and exam-focused strategies to help students achieve academic success. During the pandemic, I successfully taught mathematics online, utilizing digital tools and interactive platforms to create engaging and effective learning experiences.

Lessons are typically 60 to 90 minutes and are suitable for middle school, high school, and pre-university students. Whether students need support with coursework, examination preparation, internal assessments, or enrichment, I provide structured guidance in a supportive and encouraging online learning environment.
