I am a Mechanical Engineer experienced in technology, validation and project delivery and with an international career spanning engineering, life sciences, healthcare, telecommunications and digital transformation. My tutoring approach is being supportive and results-focused, with lessons adapted to each student's age, ability, learning style and individual needs. I first aim to understand the foundation of the student, work out any gaps and then draw out a teaching style/plan. As part of this I start with building confidence where it is lacking. I then create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their understanding. I always aim to make learning simple, participative, For Primary school focus: For younger learners, I use engaging activities, repetition, questioning until confidence is gained. For GCSE students, I combine subject knowledge with exam technique, past-paper practice, question analysis, time management and understanding mark schemes.
