About Mark
Originally I was a journalist, film maker and published author before I began teaching. Mind you, those skills, as well as my decades of teaching English, mainly in NSW, but also overseas (England, Japan and Fiji) has equipped me well. My Master's Degree (in Writing for the Media) was from Macquarie University which comprised both course work and a lengthy piece of creative writing.
My two top students whom I taught privately one-on-one for four and three years each, scored ATARS of 99.95 and 99.75 respectively.
My eldest daughter and my only son both duxed their school. They've set the bar pretty high for their three much younger sisters!

I usually teach students for one hour per week. It may be focusing on the text they are currently studying at school or it might be selective school or O/C preparation. Additionally, students can contact me during the week and send me their work which I will annotate and suggest improvements.
I'm personable, friendly and approachable. My students enjoy my classes which is the reason I teach.

Details
My preference is for group Zoom lessons. Having said that, I don't mind traveling a reasonable distance to the student's house. It's vital that an adult is present. My profession is English teaching. I have spent almost thirty years accumulating my knowledge and experience. My fee is not negotiable.
