Firstly, I would travel to your (the students) house to give lessons. I believe in developing all musical aspects of a piece, right from the start. Be it the dynamics, fingering, musicianship, technique, or memory, only by practicing everything together will one achieve the fastest rate of learning whilst keeping the piece enjoyable. Afterwards, there would be minimal inaccuracies that can be fixed with creative methods and practice.
I am from Singapore, currently studying at the University of Adelaide. Although I hold 3 performance diplomas in classical piano, I am relatively inexperience in teaching, having only taught 5 students for a few months in 2019 before flying over to Adelaide for my studies. I am offering relatively cheaper piano lessons as a side job.
Starting at $40 / hr, + $5 per grade
I have played piano for 18 years, recently achieving the highest diploma level FTCL in piano performance. I also am familiar with music theory, having attained a Grade 8 distinction. I have most notably taught my younger sister piano through grades 3 to 7, and less notably gave relief lessons at my previous music studio for students between Grades 6 to LRSM. As a performer, I have performed nearly once a year since 2012, including 2 concertos.
