About Abby
I am a Fine Artist who creates realistic portraits inspired by Renaissance and Iconographic works and detailed hand embroidery works. I also use a variety of mediums in my practice including watercolour, pastels and pencil. I have University level experience in a vast number of different practical art mediums including sculpture, clay, textiles, paint, charcoal/life-drawing, printmaking and curation.
I very much enjoy sharing my passion for the arts with others and have experience working as both an adult art teacher and a tutor.

My teaching method is through a hands on and experimental approach, this allows students to understand how a medium works and reacts before they try to manipulate it. I adopt a carefree and fun approach to creativity to begin with and tailor lessons to deliver more technical results once students are feeling confident in their skills.
