About Katina
I believe children learn best when they feel supported, capable, and engaged. My sessions combine explicit teaching, guided practice, and positive encouragement to help students build both skills and confidence. I focus on creating a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions and try to make it as engaging as possible!
I am offering tutoring to a handful of students as I return to the workforce after having a beautiful baby boy.

Unlike many tutors, I am a classroom teacher with professional training in child development, curriculum planning and evidence-based teaching practices. This allows me to identify learning gaps, tailor instruction to individual needs and support students using strategies aligned with the NSW curriculum.
Most lessons run for 60 minutes and will involve a check-in, review, explicit teaching, guided practice and then a reflection to finish up. I will provide an initial assessment within the first session and regular progress updates. Sessions will be held in a dedicated space within a family business.
I hold:
- Bachelor of Education (Primary) and Bachelor of Psychology
- Classroom teaching experience (2 years)
- Current WWCC
- NESA number
