About Hunter
Hi! I’m Hunter — a 25-year-old primary school teacher based in Geelong.
I’m passionate about helping kids learn in ways that feel positive, achievable, and fun. Here’s a bit about me:
-I’m a full-time primary school teacher with experience supporting a range of learners.
-I became a teacher because I love seeing students grow in confidence—especially when something finally clicks.
-My tutoring sessions are playful, encouraging, and always tailored to each student’s needs.
-I focus on literacy, numeracy, study skills, and helping students build a positive mindset towards learning.
-Outside of teaching, I enjoy watching the Bombers, heading to the beach, and relaxing with a good movie.
Whether your child needs support catching up, building confidence, or extending their learning, I’ll work with them to feel capable and successful every step of the way.

-Trained in DIBELS and MacqLit for evidence-based intervention
-Focus on phonics, decoding, and reading fluency to build strong, confident readers
Numeracy:
-Trained in CALFIn Maths Support to develop number sense, reasoning, and problem-solving
-Use of clear, structured strategies tailored to each student
My sessions are engaging, encouraging, and fully personalised. I meet each learner where they’re at and help them move forward with confidence and clarity.
