I was a cardiovascular genetics researcher at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland for 4 years where I gained my PhD in 2019. My PhD research involved investigating the genetic mechanisms behind bacterial infection of the cardiovascular system.
I have 4 years of experience teaching students in the following areas;
- General biology
- General genetics
- Molecular genetics
- Molecular biology
- Microbiology
- Cardiovascular biology
- Cardiovascular and genetic disease.
I have helped students progress through practical scientific lab classes, teaching laboratory techniques and methodology.

I will teach by tailoring classes to each students needs. I offer a free consultation to discuss the specific requirements of the student, topics you would like to cover, and learning preferences. I will then build a lesson plan based upon your needs, ensuring to adapt classes to your background level.
I aim to teach with a positive, understanding approach, working with the student to figure out areas for improvement. In doing so, I work to establish a supportive learning environment.
