About Ana
I am a professional tutor and fully qualified Spanish teacher. I studied Speech Therapy and Linguistics in Education at University of Zaragoza, in Spain. I also qualified as an English teacher (English as a second language) in 2011. I have worked as a MFL teacher in an all girls school in Surrey for 10 years and I have over thousand hours of experience in Spain and UK. I also have extensive experience homeschooling pupils who for one reason or another do not attend regular schools. I am a compassionate tutor who can support your child from both an academic and pastoral perspective. Tutoring Approach: As a qualified teacher, I know that no two tutees are the same. As such I seek to establish a personal approach for each student. I take time to understand how the student best absorbs information, which topics in particular they are struggling with, and then use this information to ensure as much subject knowledge is retained as possible. My daughter was struggling with her Spanish at school because she couldn't get her head around the basic grammar rules in Spanish. I decided to look for a tutor as I am no linguist either, and I am so happy we found Ana. She helped our daughter grasp the the rules immediately, and from there gave her all the help she needed to amazingly achieve an A* in her exams. Ana was always on time, enthusiastic and polite. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting help with the Spanish language.
