About Shruthi
I am an MBA sport management graduate who has been working as a swim instructor for the last 2 years as my part time job. I love teaching kids and have taken both private and group lessons for a diverse set of children aged 3-16. I have sound knowledge of the aquatics industry and my background as a competitive knowlegde equips me with the technical knowledge of swimming.

My teaching method is on the softer side, as I belive that kids respond better when they have fun in the water. My workouts are a mixture of fun games (that tie into building skills in swimming and water safety) and a normal workout routine. I have a good workout pattern that touches on basics and works more on the techniques and strengthening the foundations of swimming. I usually take 20 min and half an hour classes as I believe kids do not have a very long attention span and a 20-30 min class is most effective.
Lesson style also adapts to age and skill level of the student, as the higher skills require firmer and more serious workouts than the lower levels of swimming.
