About Zak

I have always had a passion for swimming and aquatic sports and I started to compete at an early age.

I have competed at events across Scotland, my home country, and I began coaching at my local club once I was sixteen. After moving to Australia two years ago, I became a qualified swim teacher through Austswim and I have been working at a swim school in the city.

I believe I can effectively tailor my tuition to each student because of my diverse background in swimming and extensive experience working with children of all ages and abilities.

About the lesson

I can provide qualitiy swimming lessons to all ages and abilities. I have a lot of experience working with children aged between eight and sixteen as well as experience teaching adults. Lessons can focus on everything from water familiarisation and survival skills to advanced techniques, racing starts and turns.

I hold a valid Austswim liscence as well as certifications in first aid and CPR. Additionally, I am a qualified lifeguard with the American Red Cross.

I pride myself on my patience and my ability to teach difficult techniques in easy to understand segments.

Lessons are either:
45 minutes.
60 minutes.

He’s endlessly patient with them & keeps the lessons varied & interesting so they are really engaged & no longer find swimming lessons ‘very boring’, they really look forward to their sessions with him.
