About Ingrid
I have been a Primary School teacher for 15 years teaching children from Pre Kindy to Year 6. I teach swimming for both local council and the Education Department. I have completed training in First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Child Protection and hold valid CPR and WWCC certificates. I have my AustSwim licence and experience teaching toddlers through to young adults.

I focus on teaching water safety and swimming, approaching lessons by first determining the current abilities and needs of my student/s. Lessons are then sequenced to build skills each week beginning with water familiarity, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly. Survival skills are taught as part of each lesson. Empathetic approach towards students who are frightened or uncertain about getting into the water.

Details
Lane hire charges at any public pools in the Wollongong or Kiama council areas are the responsibility of the student's family and must be organised prior to lessons commencing. Happy to teach in family pools provided only children participating in lessons are in the water.
