About Alexi
I have more than 10 years teaching experience, and have been running my own tutoring company in Darwin since 2019. I have worked with students from Transition through to Year 12. I have a certificate IV in TESOL, a graduate certificate in Disability Studies, and am currently working on a Master's degree in Disability Practice and Leadership. I can provide support to students who are struggling to learn or focus, are disengaged, have learning difficulties, or are facing any of a wide variety of challenges to their schooling.

Sessions in your home are at a rate of $72/hour, while sessions at my Tiwi venue are at a rate of $66/hour. I offer a 5% discount off the total rate for siblings. My goal is to help students reach the "a-ha!" moment, especially if there is something they have really been struggling with. I use a holistic approach, drawing connections across various subjects to help students understand; and incorporate a number of techniques, including hands-on, repetition, movement, art/craft, music, technology. Please note that rates apply to Northern Suburbs only. Travel costs starting at $10 apply to destinations including CBD, Palmerston and beyond. Please note that rates are per student, per hour. I am willing to tutor small groups, capped at 3 students. First lesson is a maximum 30 minute freebie, meet and greet. This helps me to find out what the student needs to work on, and what strategies may be best. Parents/guardians are required to attend this session so that we can all get on the same page regarding expectations.
