The lesson is aimed at students who are struggling to understand the concepts involved in the subjects I tutor. The lessons are constructive and aimed at developing the student to become a self learner.
The structure of the lessons is firstly aimed at material that the student did not understand in class.
To build on and reinforce concepts which are poorly understood.
For example one student in year seven started with me scoring 51% in mathematics but by the end of year 10 this student scored in the top 16% in Australia in the mathematical competition run by the bank.
By the end of year 10 the student was a self learner and did year 11 and 12 with no tutor and gained entrance to university. This is not to say that it takes this long for all students. Some students only need short term help.
I have been tutoring for a number of years and have had a lot of students over the years.
All of the students I have taught have progressed academically.
The year 12 students that I taught all gained university places.
One student who I taught in year seven saw me at a petrol station and remembered me. He is completing an architecture degree at RMIT and thanked me for teaching him mathematics.
The charge out rate depends on the level of the student.
