My teaching philosophy is to allow a child to learn at his/her own pace and my job is to provide that encouraging environment, so the student does not feel pressurized. I don't aim at grades but in positive learning. Home is a comfortable place for any one and giving the student an opportunity to learn in his/her comfort zone can bring positive outcomes.
There is no cookie cutter approach to learning, so I would like assess the student with the help of his/her parents to understand the gaps and then I will work on bringing different strategies like games, visuals, cue cards, videos, outdoor activities etc., also at the same time not over whelming the student.
I have experience in training Engineering and MBA graduates on skills like attending interviews, communication skills, ESL etc., I have also conducted a few ESL training to adults who come from non-English background. During my placement, I have worked with special needs children like ASD, selective mutism, learning disabilities, behavioural issues etc., Though I am not highly experienced in this area, I got a lot of positive reviews from the teachers I worked for.
If I cancel the lesson for any reason, there will be at least a day's notice unless it is an emergency, it will get rescheduled.
I would prefer at least a days notice, but there is any emergency at least an hour's notice. If I reach the student's home and if he/she is not available I would charge my full fee for that particular day.
