About Elsie

I am a certified TEFL instructor, also currently completing my Double Bachelor of Secondary Education and Arts, where I major in Linguistics and Creative Writing. I have been privately tutoring for 5 years now, and I voluntarily teach group ESL classes on the weekends to those who have recently arrived in Australia.

About the lesson

My teaching method is all about confidence and fun. I believe we learn faster and more effectively when we are greatly encouraged and have some laughs along the way! That's what I'm all about - I'm very friendly and am keen to get to know you.
I base my lessons on what YOU need. Whether you are looking to improve your understanding and fluency in social situations, writing skills for the workplace, or IELTS band score, I'll be there for you.
Unless you have a specific request otherwise, I like to involve a range of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation in every class. This means we'll never get too tired of one language aspect, keeping things far more fun! I also include regular practise of each skill - writing, reading, speaking, and listening - to keep your fluency balanced across all areas.
