About Rowan
For me, education is about helping students believe in their abilities. As a Guitar tutor with 13+ years of experience, I have successfully taught around 300-350 High School and College students. This experience has been a major milestone in my career and has strengthened my passion for teaching and mentoring young learners.
I believe a positive learning environment can transform the way students approach challenges. My goal is to create lessons where students feel comfortable, respected, and motivated. I encourage them to ask questions, practice freely, and learn from their mistakes.
My Guitar lessons are personalized according to each student's level and goals. I teach chords, scales, rhythm, strumming patterns, finger techniques, music theory, song playing, and performance skills. I explain each skill clearly and give students practical activities to help them apply their knowledge.
I also encourage students to explore their own musical interests. When students learn songs they enjoy, they often become more enthusiastic about practice. I use their interests to make lessons more engaging while continuing to build strong fundamentals.
Teaching 300-350 students has been a significant professional achievement. It has allowed me to work with learners who have different abilities and expectations. These experiences have taught me how important patience, flexibility, and encouragement are in education.
One of my greatest rewards is watching students become independent musicians. When they can practice a song or technique confidently without constant assistance, I know they are making meaningful progress.
I encourage students to set small goals and work toward them consistently. I help them understand that learning Guitar is a process and that mistakes are completely normal.
I also want students to develop qualities that extend beyond music. Guitar can help improve concentration, creativity, discipline, patience, perseverance, and confidence.
My passion for education comes from seeing students grow. I want every learner to understand that their abilities can improve with dedication and proper guidance.
My goal is to make every Guitar lesson useful, enjoyable, and inspiring. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach so many students and look forward to helping many more learners discover their musical potential.

My Guitar teaching methodology uses real songs, communication, flexible learning, and practical activities. I believe students are more motivated when they can immediately use a new Guitar skill in music they enjoy.
I begin by discussing the student's experience, favorite music, goals, and current abilities. Communication allows me to understand what the student wants to learn and what areas need improvement.
I use adaptation to learning styles through demonstrations, audio examples, chord charts, written notes, repetition, and hands-on playing. I adjust my method when a student finds a topic difficult.
I use real-life examples and case studies from songs and musical performances. Students can learn how chord progressions, rhythm patterns, strumming, picking, scales, and melodies are used in real music. I also explain how guitarists use these skills when playing with singers, bands, or other musicians.
My Guitar lessons can include chords, rhythm, strumming, fingerstyle, picking, scales, lead guitar, improvisation, music theory, ear training, songwriting, and performance preparation. Related subjects include Music Theory, Songwriting, Ear Training, Rhythm Training, Music Appreciation, Basic Composition, and Performance Skills.
I encourage students to learn songs section by section and practice difficult parts separately. I provide feedback and clear practice goals.
My goal is to make Guitar learning enjoyable and practical while helping students gain confidence, creativity, strong technique, and musical independence.
