About Alexandra
Hi! I’m a Biomedical Science graduate from QUT with majors in Anatomy and Biochemistry, and I’m currently completing my Honors year at UQ. Tutoring was an important part of my own high school journey, and I know firsthand how much having the right support can improve both your understanding and confidence. This is a big part of why I enjoy tutoring — I want to provide students with the same encouragement and support that helped me get through high school. My approach is friendly, patient and personalized. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, strengths and goals, whether they need help understanding a challenging topic, preparing for an assessment or developing a study plan. My goal is to make students feel comfortable asking questions, build their confidence and help them become more independent learners.

My Math and Science lessons are designed to make challenging concepts feel clear, manageable and achievable. I focus on understanding rather than memorization, breaking topics down step-by-step and using worked examples and practice questions to build confidence. I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual level, learning style and goals. Whether you need help catching up on a difficult topic, preparing for an upcoming assessment or building stronger foundations, we’ll focus on what you need most. I can also provide personalized study plans, revision strategies and feedback on assessments to help you understand where you can improve and become a more independent learner. I tutor Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology for primary and high school students, with lessons typically running for 60 minutes.
