About Rachel
I have been an ARTIST my whole life. I do ART because I am compelled to. I work in a varied range of media. My work knows no boundaries. I will always be the artist that experiments with materials and is NOT interested in 'RULES'. I like to paint large-scale canvas but will work with what I have. I use acrylics, pastels, nail polish, hair oil, oils, epoxy resin, fire gun, charcoal, wax, dirt, mediums.....basically anything. I love creating sculptures out of rubbish. Large paper mache cactus, animals, creatures.....
I have dabbled in welding to create metal sculptures. I have never been interested in making money from my creations and have always given the works away to the first person that says"Oh I love that". As I grow older and wiser I now am interested in holding onto my works and exhibiting them. I have recently had a solo exhibition and have been involved in a few group shows.

My teaching method is to cover off the basics of how to do whatever it is w are doing. If painting, you will be given quite a few rags and a few canvases .......Then, FREEDOM. I encourage people to take some time before starting. Relax, lay on the floor or outside in the grass. Breath! And start while breathing deeply, don't think just do, if you instantly want the red paint to grab it using your fingers, using your hands, brush whatever. Move the paint around freely and just keep going, using the rags provided to give hands a quick clean (if using hands). Move over to the other canvas and start on it, this allows a bit of drying time on each of the canvases. Whatever media we are working in it's all about letting your subconscious, inner-self, soul and spirit have a voice.
