About Maria
I am a translator (English ›‹ Spanish ›‹ German) with an advanced knowledge of French. I am a native Spanish speaker as I am originally from Venezuela. I have wide experience teaching English as a Second Language in the university level as well as to adult learners. Additionally, I have experience teaching Spanish to foreign students, and this is something that I really enjoy doing because it allows me to teach others and share experiences about our cultures and languages.

As a teacher, I always try to make my classes fun and interesting. My goal is to get students to loosen up because in doing so, they will speak, and speaking is the only way to learn a foreign language. Games, songs, and general silliness is what you can expect from one of my classes. My class is based on my student, so we can do a grammar-based lesson, focus on vocabulary, strengthen your pronunciation, or simply talk to reinforce your fluency... You call the shots!
