About Ashwini
Hello! My name is Ash and I am currently a Graduate-entry Medicine student at King's College London. I scored 3100 Band 2 on the UCAT which earned me invitations to all my medical school choices and subsequently, three medical school offers. I have a First Class Honours degree in Anatomy, Developmental and Human Biology and have worked as a research assistant at King's, UCL and Imperial with several publications under my name. In addition to teaching laboratory skills and the science underpinning them to Bachelor's and Master's students on their laboratory placements, I have been a tutor for children between the ages of 8 to 17 during my sixth form. Having had to navigate the incredibly high competition to get into Graduate-entry Medicine myself, I am keen to help others interested in research and medicine to nail down concepts they are struggling with. I have fully enjoyed opportunities to teach while at school, university and at work and am looking forward to helping others enjoy a subject I myself find to be incredibly fascinating.

Initially, I will have you take a mock interview to gauge your performance level and confidence in answering standard medical school interview questions. We shall then cover the different categories of questions that might be asked and I will assign you homework to list a few ideas from your own personal experience to address these questions. We will then incorporate the use of several interview techniques with your prepared ideas. We will then go on to tackle practice interview questions with a focus on how to think on your feet during interviews. Finally, we will identify any areas that need further improving by doing mock interviews and polishing your answers off.

Ashwini is an amazing tutor. She is patient, considerate and is great at making it easy to understand complex concepts by providing exaples and breaking it down in simpler things. Also, she is great at explaining formulas and how to make calculations in such a way that I can understand what I'm doing and provides the tools for one to be able to do it by themselves. Absolutely loved my learning sessions with her!
