About Aurora

I have recently graduated from Melbourne Girls College with an ATAR of 96.50, with multiple awards from school including the VCE EAL award. I am an enthusiastic and diligent person, and strives to reflect such qualities in my teachings.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading nutrition books, participating in sports (soccer, badminton, swimming), and loves to hang out with animals (dogs!!). If you have interests in any areas, I would love to have a conversation with you!

I am currently a first year student at the University of Melbourne, studying a Bachelor of Science majoring in anatomy and human nutrition. If you are interested in those areas, feel free to have a chat with me too.

I don't want to be this scary figure to you, I want to be your friend too! So don't be afraid to share your interests and things that happen in life with me. I am more than happy to hear about them! ;)

About the lesson

I like to have every lessons tailored to about 1 to 2 hours in length, with breaks in between if needed by the student. I use a student-centred approach in my teaching, and aims to consolidate the areas which they need help.

Generally, students will come to class with an aim, generally comprising their schoolwork. It can be as simple as the topic they are currently doing in class, and I will then focus the learning outcomes of the lesson to be centred around the student's school topic. If the student does not have a specific area which they want to focus on, I will then centre my lesson to improve their writing, organisation of logic, and literacy skills to prepare them for their future studies ;)

I have experience in VCE Year 12 English, and have received the school VCE EAL award in 2022. It is award to the top ranking student in the entire cohort.

I will only take year 5 to year 9 students for English tuition at the moment. Year 10 to 12 students are welcome to express their interest, but I will only teach VCE students if my schedule allows.

If you are interested, I am willing to provide the first ever meeting for free. It will be a half an hour lesson where we can introduce ourselves and get to know each other a bit more.
