About Carme
I'm Carme, a young girl who just moved to Australia after 4 years studying English and Spanish language, culture and literature. I have always loved to teach Spanish, not only the language, but also everything surrounding it (food, music, cinema, festivities, people...). As a foreign language learner myself, I understand the student's perspective on learning something new and I always try to help with everyone's needs because everyone is different.

My approach to personal tutoring is based on student-centered, immersion in the culture of the target language and interactive approaches. The tutor should create an environment that encourages students to be active participants in their own learning process. This can be done through activities that promote speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the target language, as well as topics of the student's interest and relevancy.
I like to start by assessing the student's current language level and their goals. This will allow me to create a tailored learning plan that is based on the student's individual needs. I also encourage the student to become immersed in the target language culture, such as by listening to music, reading books, and watching films in the target language.
When it comes to activities I prefer to do games, role-playing, and conversations with authentic materials, such as videos and articles from the target language culture, to provide a more realistic context for learning.
I also provide feedback and guidance to the student throughout the process. This can be done through giving corrections and providing positive reinforcement. I'm patient and encouraging, as learning a new language can be a challenging process.
