About Orson
I'm Orson, a 17 year old who's just escaped the gauntlet of Highschool. I have a habit of making friends with people unlike me, so regardless of if you're a nerd like me, a gym shark, a party animal or avid sport star, I'm sure we'll find some common ground.
I'm happy and interested in any beliefs or values, something that usually wouldn't be important for a tutor, but with the nature of English and Literature, our conversations will most likely go to philosophical and moral places, so regardless of what think about Albo, or whether your spiritual, our lessons will be a secure and unjudgmental place to turn those beliefs alchemy like into high scoring essay plans.

The biggest hurdle for students, in my experience is the way English and Lit is the way the subject is marked. Anyone can write an essay and score a 50 or 60, but without knowing things like metalanguage, clear structure or reading practices, the ceiling will stay at 60s.
I'm passionate about literature, and know from experience that if one gets a grip of some of the more minute concepts (even on a basic level), that the subject can become a genuinely enjoyable experience.
I graduated John xxiii with averages of 80s and 70s in Lit, and the same in English ATAR. Furthermore I have a twin, who doesn't share my passion for the subject, so I have been helping with essay prep and explaining parts of course terminology for some time now, to both him and friends who need some last minute help.
Lessons can range from 1-2 hours, located in the Reid Library on the UWA campus in Nedlands.
