About Candace
One of the things I looked for in a tutor when I was younger was someone who was relatable and could teach in similar ways to my school but more tailored to my learning. This is what I hope to provide for my students, as someone who understands other time commitments or the pressures on students at different grade levels. My logic is as long as you're willing to work with me, I can definitely work with you and truly help make sure you understand the topics!

As a recent graduate of a magnet school, I completely understand the new information that students are faced with, which is why I know it can also be challenging. It's because of this that I have developed personal methods that helped me the best in a wide array of subjects, including math and English. For my teaching "method," I take a slower approach, taking as much time as needed for the student to fully understand the topic because, in my opinion, there is no point in rushing a topic just for them to not understand. Along with this, as a current undergrad student, I am fully aware of other time commitments, so I can be quite flexible with my hours! For level of tutoring, it is up until grade 8, as well as college preparations, including proofreading and discussing next steps!
