About Joyce
Hello! My name is Joyce. I went from averaging B- to an A* student in English and went on to complete higher level Literature in the IB Diploma program. As my English grades have significantly improved over my high school years, I want to share the tips that I have accumulated with you! (Especially when analysing English literature.) This will be helpful for students who are studying for competitive exams and finals or just someone looking to improve their English in general. I also love reading and discussing novels with my students!

My lessons will be completely tailored to my student’s method of learning (eg. Going through of examples or discussing the thought processes or focusing on practice and feedback). The area of focus (whether writing introductions or building vocabulary) will also be flexible. I will provide and walk through sample responses that I’ve wrote to add depth to the lesson. I’m happy to provide additional material such as reading guides for popular texts. I’m open to and welcome feedback from my students!
