About Katherine
I'm Katherine and I have recently submitted my PhD thesis in history at Victoria University. When I was studying for my undergraduate degree, I was employed as a student mentor. It was my job to engage students in first year subject matter and read through their essays with them, assisting to improve academic writing. I have a solid knowledge base in contemporary history and research methods and am always keen to share that knowledge and pass on what I have learned!

We will work together to improve engagement with subject matter and review writing techniques or research methods, depending on your needs. Lessons will run over 45 or 60 minutes and will be tailored to assist in the development of academic skills pertinent to your ongoing assessments/work load.
My recent experience in completing a PhD thesis (history), combined with my time mentoring undergraduate students in writing and engagement with subject matter, will be ideal for tutoring first year undergraduates or VCE students enrolled in history or English.
