About Sophia

As a former VCE Japanese Student and current university student for Japanese, I understand the struggle to learn the language from scratch! I started when I was 14, as a non-native speaker, so I really had to grasp the way of learning and studying Japanese with no prior background. I want to assist other students who are also trying to achieve their best, and bring out their full potential in the Japanese language.

About the lesson

I am a recent VCE graduate, with a 43 score in Japanese SL despite no native background! I also achieved a near perfect score in the Japanese oral exam. I currently study Japanese Studies at Monash University, with High Distinction Averages of 90%+.

I will be able to provide:
1. For Japanese:
- one on one oral exam practice, with sample scripts and questions
- sample, top scoring essays
- essay guidelines and tips
- detailed feedback on essays and oral communication
- practice exams
- tips for performing highly in the exams and achieving the best you can
- I can also offer up to N3 level JLPT tutoring for English speakers
- tutoring in speaking, reading or writing is also available for non VCE students.
