About Ronojit

Ronojit Bhuyan is a 22 year old pianist from Mumbai, India. His initial training was under Niel Nongkenreih, the director of the famous Shillong Chamber choir and he is currently learning western classical piano under Aida Bisenglow of the National centre of performing Arts, Mumbai. Ronojit is pursuing his advanced levels of Trinity College of music, (LTCL) London after having passed his 8th grade and ATCL successfully. He’s under intensive masterclass training and mentoring taken by Concert Pianist- Pervez Mody from Germany. He recently won the first prize in solo instrumental at the prestigious youth festival Mood Indigo of IIT Bombay which led him to perform before several thousand packed audience from across Asia on the main stage. He is also the finalist for the National Piano Competition- Conbrio, 2020. He recently won the 1st Prize in the Brillante International Music Competition (PIano- Senior Category) held in December 2021. During the lockdown Ronojit and his mother Sunita Bhuyan have performed over 75 online concerts from March 2020 - May 2021, some of them including Rolling Stones India, NDTV Live, Hungama Music Festival, Better India and Stage Arts live.

Some of the events and venues that he has performed for are Vibrant Gujarat, Beyond Boundaries at Edinburgh Mela, "Eadarrain" for Glasgow Mela 2018, Weaving Peace for world trade centre Mumbai 2019, Cedep Europe summit, Fontainbkeau France 2018, Reed school of music Edinburgh 2018, "Songs of Spring" Kala Ghoda Festival Mumbai 2019, 70 years of India and Indonesia at Habitat Centre Delhi, YPO Washington, Bharatiya Bhavan New York, Nehru Centre London, Detroit, Chicago and Boston.

About the lesson

The Russian piano style, deep understanding of the music score. Teaching tips on fast learning, picking up key dynamics, playing each passage with different colours, thinking about abstract imaginations over pieces.
