About Ems
I'm a registered Occupational Therapist with over 16 years of clinical experience helping people reclaim the everyday skills and independence that illness, injury, or caregiving demands can strain.
Over the course of my career, I've built expertise across caregiver mentoring, concussion rehabilitation, fatigue and energy management, menopause support skills, cognitive skill-building, functional daily routines, and return to work support — work that's taught me just as much about resilience and patience as it has about clinical technique.
My qualifications include a BSc in Occupational Therapy, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, a Postgraduate Qualification in Health and Social Care, and an MSc in Wellness — a combination that lets me bring evidence-based clinical strategies together with genuinely clear, structured teaching.
I teach the way I practice: calm, practical, and person-centered. I believe real progress happens when someone feels respected and understood, not rushed through a generic program — so every session I run is built around the individual in front of me, not a one-size-fits-all script.
I'm committed to safe, ethical practice and to teaching in a way that's immediately useful in daily life, whatever stage of recovery or challenge someone is facing.

Tutoring Approach
As a registered Occupational Therapist, I bring a practical, evidence-informed approach to every session. My focus is on teaching clear, functional strategies that clients can apply immediately in daily life. This methodology draws on pacing principles, cognitive rehabilitation frameworks, and structured skill-building, delivered in a calm, accessible format tailored to each individual.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology
Each lesson combines guided education, step-by-step strategy instruction, and real-life application to help clients understand how concussion, fatigue, or cognitive overload affects thinking, energy, and daily function.
A typical lesson includes:
- Clear explanations in plain, accessible language
- Demonstration of practical tools, including pacing strategies, cognitive load reduction, and routine-building techniques
- Collaborative problem-solving suited to the client's specific circumstances
- Structured reflection to build confidence and support long-term independence
My teaching style is supportive, structured, and consistently adapted to each learner's goals, values, and daily routine.
Lesson Length
Sessions typically run 60 minutes, allowing sufficient time for teaching, guided practice, and personalized feedback. Shorter or extended sessions can be arranged to accommodate individual fatigue levels and needs.
Qualifications and Experience
I am a registered Occupational Therapist with clinical experience supporting adults recovering from concussion, managing fatigue, improving executive function, and rebuilding daily routines. My background includes return-to-work rehabilitation, menopause support skills, concussion rehabilitation, caregiver training, social rehabilitation needs assessments, and fatigue management, underpinned by a calm, practical, and client-centered approach to care.
