About Chia
I currently work as a tutor for the local community college. I've also been a private for over 15 years. I have an undergraduate and graduate degree in mathematics. I also speak Chinese, some French and German if that might be helpful.

I have been a math and stats tutor in Portland for over ten years, both in person and remotely. I try to adapt my sessions to what the students need. My philosophy is to have the students think through what they need to do to solve a particular problem, so I try my best to ask questions in order to find out what they already know, and how we can use that to solve a current problem. I do very much like to relate the material back to day-to-day things, because math and stats are very much relevant to the world around us.0p-
