About Sean
I’m an experienced educator, researcher and business professional with a particular interest in helping people understand complex ideas and develop confidence in their own thinking.
I hold an MBA in Marketing and a BA in Journalism, and I’m currently completing a PhD in Work & Employment Studies at the University of Limerick. My doctoral research uses qualitative research methods to explore how people learn, adapt and make sense of uncertainty in organizations.
Alongside my academic work, I have more than 20 years of professional experience across business, technology, publishing and communications. I have also taught adult learners, delivered professional training, assessed assignments and provided developmental feedback.
I can support undergraduate and postgraduate students with research methods, qualitative research, research design, thematic analysis, organizational behavior, management and academic writing. I’m particularly interested in helping students who understand their subject but are struggling to turn their ideas into a clear research question, methodology, argument or dissertation structure.
My teaching style is supportive, conversational and intellectually rigorous. Rather than simply telling you what to write, I’ll help you understand the underlying ideas, think through the problem and develop work that remains genuinely your own.
I’m available for online tutoring and can tailor sessions to your course, assignment or research project.
