About Stephen
I have over 2 decades of experience teaching math to elementary and middle school students. It is of paramount importance to me to set a standard of professionalism and set a level of comfort so that students feel reassured and supported. Math itself can be stressful for many students. I remember the stress I felt when I was younger. As a tutor, I strive to make sure tutoring sessions are fun, engaging, but not stressful.

I am a strong proponent of making math fun and engaging for the student. Game-based math activities are an essential component of my lessons. I also strongly believe that all students have the potential to grasp math skills. It is my job to help students find ways to reach understanding of these so that they can consistently apply them to solve math problems.
