About Jon
I am a 26 year old music graduate from Royal Holloway University of London, where my degree involved music theory, a solo performance recital and composition modules.
I have been learning music from the age of 7 and I have achieved my Grade 8 in Piano, Violin and Viola. I was a Viola section leader in the RHUL Symphony Orchestra, the West Sussex County Youth Orchestra and the Worthing Youth Orchestra.
I have also achieved an ABRSM Silver award in Viola and I have won several classical and jazz performance awards in the Worthing Music Festival for my Piano.
In my spare time I love to compose and improvise!

Offering remote Piano lessons of all ages via online video methods such as Zoom or Skype. I can teach any form of music you are interested in, whether that's classical, pop or jazz so long as you have the sheet music!
Ideally you will need to use a device with good quality audio and video and use a room that will be quiet from disruptions. Our first lesson will require optimising our set-up so we can hear and see each other clearly!
If you are a new student with no music to hand, I can send you copies of beginner pieces that you can use to practice with. It's useful to have a notebook to hand to write down any pieces you are currently learning and a pencil to annotate your music with.
If you already have the music you wish to learn, all you need to do is send me a scanned copy/photograph via email and I can work with that. Similarly, if you want to learn grades then I will need copies of each of your pieces. I also offer music theory and aural teaching if required.
