About Elsie
"Watching a student finally lock in their posture and hand position after weeks of effort is why I keep teaching. I have worked with 383 students over 13 years, helping nervous beginners find their footing and advanced players refine their classical repertoire for high stakes exams. My approach is firm and detail oriented, focusing heavily on ABRSM and Trinity grade exam prep to ensure you reach your goals.
We spend time on the subtle nuances of dynamics and expression because music is not just hitting keys. Sight reading is a core part of my curriculum, as is developing accompaniment skills to make you a versatile musician. You will find my feedback blunt but consistently focused on your growth."
