About Ellie
I graduated with high distinction in Fashion Design & Technology at RMIT and have now worked in the fashion industry for over 10 years. I began my career in high-end fashion in London, working with skilled local manufacturers, which exposed me to advanced tailoring techniques. I now work as a production manager for an iconic Melbourne brand, giving me the experience to offer practical, real-world insights.
Specializing in patternmaking and garment construction, I provide tutoring in sewing, patternmaking, and production skills for high school and university students. My lessons combine hands-on techniques with industry insights, helping students develop both technical proficiency and confidence in their creative projects. Sessions are tailored to your level and goals, whether you’re working on assignments, personal projects, or preparing for a career in fashion.

We can focus on specific assignments, improve technical skills, or develop complete garments from concept to completion. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel confident to ask questions, experiment, and grow their skills.

I can tailor lessons to all levels, from university and TAFE fashion students needing additional support, to hobbyists and high school students wanting to learn to sew.
