Hi all perspective student! My name is Yasmin, I am a 3rd year Fine arts student at RMIT. I am here for all you visual/fine art students focussing on both practical and theoretical work. We will go through essay planing, paragraph structuring, visual analysis, compare and contrast essays, artists research, art history, particular movements, styles and techniques. I will assist and teach you in your practical work; wether it be painting (oils, acrylic, watercolour, gauche, spray painting etc.) drawing, sculpture, instillation work, photography, video art etc. I have extensive knowledge in both areas! I am here for students who have dyslexia and other learning difficulties, as I myself suffer from dyslexia and dyscalculia and I know how difficult and frustrating it can be. I will find ways around those difficulties and create a more stress free approach/environment to an already difficult subject.
I myself am currently completing my undergraduates degree in Fine Arts, I have a combined 8 years experience within my field. I interned and worked alongside multidisciplinary international artist Ian Strange on one of his commissioned art projects in Richmond. I have learned and gained a lot of experience along the way from various tutors and lectures as well as, artists and curators. I will give all my effort and experience to you so that you can achieve the very best and succeed in something you love and are passionate about!
I can negotiate upon request :)

I interned for multidisciplinary international Australian artist, Ian Strange, at his Richmond studio over the entirety of my second semester. I worked along side the artist himself, as well as his team; which included the studio manager and the mangers assistant. We worked in the studio primarily organising the studio space, applying for grants, scouting for materials, filing documents, reviewing documents and making time spreads. I also worked on one of the major projects that Ian had been commissioned for in the Richmond suburb. We had the project of converting a house that was to be demolished into one of Ian’s riveting revival artworks. I gained a great understanding and knowledge of the not only the practical side of being an artist but also the business side of it. Working along side Ian gave me a priceless insight into the complex workings of a successful artist.
