About Etienne
My previous experience includes:
- Tutoring Sudanese-Australian migrants in English and the Humanities as part of the SAIL Program.
- Attended SLAMS training at RMIT to to tutor other students.
- I have worked extensively in Media Intelligence for 2.5 years.
- Soon-to-be graduate of International Studies at RMIT.
- Graduated from Trinity Grammar School with an ATAR of 94.
- I have recently worked in international development on behalf of the Government of Rwanda.

Hello,
My name is Etienne and I'm a 23 year old student of International Studies at RMIT. I am currently in the final semester of the degree and will be graduating this Winter. I chose to study International Studies as a result of my passion for all things related to international affairs and relations, as well as my international upbringing.
I am available to tutor in History, English, International Relations and Politics. Additionally, I am also available for tutoring in conversational French. My lessons across the humanities focus more on promoting an in-depth understanding of the nuances of English, History and Politics. I enjoy teaching eager students and love a good conversation about the topics that I teach.
Lessons typically include a going-over of material and questions, followed by a dissection of the material and conversation where we can strategize how best you can master the topic at hand. The aim of this is to give the student original perspectives and ideas about the subject, so that their learning comes from their own thinking rather than mindless rote memorisation.
As well as this, proper essay structure and grammar can also be taught. I have written too many essays to remember, as well as a thesis, and I am more than happy to go through good essay structure and help students who need it.
