About Belinda
I bring a calm, thoughtful approach to ballet teaching, shaped by many years of experience working with children and adults across the Western Cape. Having run my own studio and taught in a variety of ballet settings, I have guided students through the Royal Academy of Dance examinations, studio concerts, Eisteddfod work, and the American Academy of Ballet Performance Awards. My teaching style therefore is structured, encouraging, and deeply mindful of how dancers develop over time.
My classes are rooted in strong classical foundations, musicality, and correct technique- while allowing space for confidence, enjoyment and individual pace.
My aim is to create an environment where dancers feel supported, capable, and inspired to move well- without unnecessary pressure or comparison.
Whether I am working with children or adults discovering ballet for the first time, or those returning to training, I offer quality training grounded in experience, kindness, and respect for the ballet student and the art of ballet.

I teach the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus as well as a combination of my own choreography. Lessons are structured with specific learning outcomes. Conducted in English and with a dash of humor, our classes will teach you the very basics of ballet technique if you are a beginner. Or if you are an advanced dancer, training in technique, musicality and artistry will be taught.
I train students from absolute beginners all the way to Advanced dancers, children and adults.
A typical lesson will involve a barre, center practice, and pointe work (if Advanced).
