About Zeliha

I'm a SACE Year 12 graduate currently studying Health Sciences at Monash University, while working towards a pathway into Paramedicine and eventually completing a Master of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Biology has always been my favorite subject, and my passion for the human body and health sciences is what inspired me to continue studying in this field.

One of the main reasons I began tutoring is because I know firsthand how overwhelming senior school can feel. There was a time when I felt completely lost with studying until I discovered the learning and revision techniques that worked best for me. Once I found those strategies, studying became far more effective and much less stressful. I want to share those techniques with other students so they can study smarter, build confidence and achieve their goals without feeling like they're navigating it alone.

Having completed SACE recently, I have a strong understanding of the current curriculum, assessment requirements and the style of questions students are expected to answer. I know that many students struggle not only with memorizing large amounts of biological content, but also with interpreting and answering SACE-style extended response questions and managing exam stress while balancing multiple subjects. My aim is to make these challenges feel much more manageable by breaking down complex concepts, teaching effective study strategies and showing students exactly how to maximize marks in assessments.

As a tutor, I pride myself on being patient, adaptable, thorough, encouraging, friendly and approachable. Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their individual learning style, pace and goals. I also believe that learning doesn't stop when the lesson ends, which is why I offer ongoing support outside of tutoring sessions whenever students need help or have questions.

Whether you're looking to improve your grades, gain confidence, prepare for exams or simply develop better study habits, my goal is to create a supportive and positive learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and reaching your full potential.

About the lesson

I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit the individual's learning style, goals and current level of understanding. Whether a student learns best through visual diagrams, written explanations, active discussion or practice questions, I adapt my teaching methods to ensure concepts are understood rather than simply memorized.

Lessons are available in flexible durations ranging from 1–2 hours, depending on the student's needs and preferences. I also offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate school and extracurricular commitments.

My lessons place a strong emphasis on exam and test preparation, particularly for SACE Biology students. I teach students how to approach and answer SACE-style questions to maximize marks, while also developing effective study habits through active recall, spaced revision and guided practice. We will regularly work through questions together, identify areas for improvement and build confidence in applying biological concepts to unfamiliar scenarios.

I primarily use my own carefully prepared resources, including revision materials and practice questions, while also incorporating the student's school resources where preferred. All teaching materials are aligned with the relevant SACE curriculum and learning outcomes to ensure students are studying content that is directly applicable to their assessments.

Outside of scheduled lessons, I provide ongoing support via text message or email at no additional cost. Students are welcome to ask questions whenever they need clarification on schoolwork, assignments or revision, allowing them to continue progressing between tutoring sessions.

I have previous tutoring experience across a range of subjects, including SACE Biology, UCAT preparation and VCE Turkish, and understand the importance of adapting my teaching to each student's individual goals. Whether a student is aiming to improve their grades, prepare for exams, strengthen their understanding of difficult topics, develop effective study techniques or simply gain confidence in science, I work collaboratively with them to achieve those outcomes. My lessons are suitable for students studying SACE Stage 1 Biology, SACE Stage 2 Biology, and Years 6–10 Science.
