My teaching method is to first explain. At this point, students/learners don't need to understand the full concept : just a few things. Then I explain again in more depth and set reasonable tasks depending on the levels/grade they are at school and after, if i see progression, I move them on to more challenging areas on that topic for them to fully grasp the information. After that I give extension tasks and homework to be done for next lesson. (I use topics based on their curriculum.)
