About John
Hello! I’m John, born in Canada and raised in Hong Kong and now living in Sydney. I speak English, Cantonese and Putonghua. I have a current First Aid, CPR and Working with Children Check, National Police Certificate with no outcomes. My qualifications include: ABRSM Grade 8 (Violin) ABRSM Grade 5 Theory (Distinction) ABRSM Grade 8 (Alto Saxophone) Bachelor of Journalism, Minor in Music Master of Business Administration I work professionally with adults and teenagers in an instructional capacity. I play in a Jazz Ensemble weekly and I’m a lover of Bach. Looking forward to helping you on your musical journey!

Have you ever wanted to learn to play the saxophone or do you have a child who could benefit from mentorship and guidance? I’m the tutor you are looking for. Having studied music since I was a teenager I understand the daunting task that is learning an instrument. Through the journey of learning to play this fantastic woodwind instrument, you will learn how to set musical goals, practice efficiently, music theory (harmony and rhythm) and technical mastery of the instrument. I am available to travel to your home for lessons if required or you may come to my home in Cremorne if that suits you better.
