About Timothy
I am a University graduate who is currently undertaking online tutoring at a High School level, teaching both Mathematics and Physics. I also undertook in-person High School tutoring before my current role, teaching Mathematics. I would really like to teach in this position as I am deeply passionate about these subjects and would feel very happy to pass on my knowledge to students, not only to educate students but also to inspire the same passion for these subjects.

In my current tutoring position, I start the session by asking the student what topics they want to cover, after which I teach the student the essential facts and theory behind the topic and then have them answer questions to test their knowledge. If the student is stuck, I make an effort to nudge them in the right direction rather than giving them the answer outright, as I believe this helps the student learn more effectively and organically.
The length of each lesson runs for an hour, being slightly flexible in case the student is in the middle of a question.
I have performed in-person tutoring for two years, however most of my experience comes from online tutoring which I have been performing for almost five years now.
My lessons are currently for late high school students, years 11-12, however I am willing to tutor at both an early and late high school level for this position, for years 7-12.
