My teaching methods and techniques are employed in response to a student’s needs. For example, if a student is preparing for an exam in genetics, we will begin a lesson with refresher pieces of previous study and then focus on what material must be known and then mastered to excel.
As a tutor, I am first and foremost an excellent communicator and positive coach and what sets me apart from others is my belief that all students can master subject matter and achieve their goals.
I have taught masters level elementary and high school science teachers how to teach science at the University of Minnesota and trained science teachers how to employ “hands-on, minds-on” teaching techniques.
My science education experience ranges from pre-school to graduate levels.
I specialize in all sciences grades K-9 and Biology and AP Biology for grades 10-12.
