I have a bachelors degree in chemistry and math, a masters degree in chemistry, and a Ph. D. in materials science. My mathematical areas of expertise are algebra, undergraduate calculus and differential equations, and in chemistry I am knowledgeable in general chemistry, and basic inorganic, organic, analytical and physical chemistry

I try to teach from a perspective of first principles so that the student can understand where the principles come from and how they build on each other in order to provide a deeper understanding of the subject matter rather than just memorization.
