About Balogun

I graduated with a 2:1 in Linguistics and French (Bachelor of Arts) at the University of Ibadan. Afterwards, I obtained a Masters degree also in French from the same University.Then I obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers' Institute in Kaduna, Nigeria. I then acquired the DELF B1 certificate in the French Language.
To build on my academic qualifications, I attended several seminars and workshops for developing good teaching practices, specifically aimed at teaching foreign languages such as French. The seminars and workshops were hosted by reputable organisations such as the “Alliance Française/ Centre for French Learning and Documentation” and the “University French Teachers' Association of Nigeria (UFTAN)”. From the seminars, I was able to gain skills for good practices for teaching French as a second language.
I have acquired more than 10 years of professional teaching experience in delivering French language classes to adolescents (age range). My lessons are tailored to adapt to specific individual needs. I utilise the communicative method of teaching "La méthode Communicative", which emphasizes four basic language learning skills - speaking, reading, writing and listening. As a result, I have been successful in ensuring my students obtain a conversational proficiency in the French Language.I want to be a teacher to create a lasting impact and positive value for the next generation.Also, the learning curriculum can sometimes be non-inclusive to certain groups. I want to be able to bridge this gap, as evidenced by my online tutoring service.

About the lesson

I tutor my learners focusing on the four language learning skills, that is, speaking, reading, listening and writing. I adopt " la méthode communicative" where all my students participate equally in class. This is followed by a lot exercises for the purpose of evaluation. A
lot of audio and audio- visual materials are also carefully examined in class. "La Culture et Civilisation" aspect of French language is not left out.
