About Danielle

I am a passionate linguist who enjoys everything speaking another language has to offer. I believe that to truly immerse yourself in the language you must have a strong knowledge of the culture of the language. During my university studies, I lived in the south of Spain where I taught English to Spanish students in a primary school. This experience afforded me the opportunity to fully immerse myself in the Spanish way of life.

I graduated with a BA degree in Spanish and Education from the University of Strathclyde and a year later I went on to graduate with PGDE in Secondary Spanish teaching.

I am a motivated and dedicated teacher and put my students needs above everything. I am passionate about helping students achieve success and will be there to support them every step of the way.

About the lesson

Helping young minds bloom.

My name is Danielle and I am a fully qualified Spanish teacher. I currently teach in a secondary school delivering high quality learning and teaching to my students who are preparing for national qualifications. I am passionate about languages, especially Spanish and this is emulated in my lessons. I am confident in delivering motivating and engaging lessons and can adapt them to meet my students needs. I have many years experience in private tutoring and provide support to those who may need a helping hand to achieving success. I cater to my students specific needs and create a calm and friendly environment, ensuring that my students feel comfortable and relaxed during our sessions.
During the first session, I like to talk to students about their areas of strength and areas for development in the subject and from there we can work out a plan together on how best to progress. I have a wealth of materials for both National 5 and Higher Spanish courses That I share with students. I provide tips on how best to prepare and study for upcoming examinations and offer mock exams, for example; talking exam.
