"Instruction should mirror the way a live performance balances technical rigor with the raw emotion of the song. We start by tuning your instrument until the harmonics ring true against the ambient noise of the room.
I draw on 11 years of experience to guide teens and exam candidates through power chords or reading sheet music. Understanding barre chords and proper acoustic technique provides the foundation for every genre we explore.
My lessons incorporate ear training and maintenance to ensure you feel connected to your instrument. You will find that mastering chord transitions happens naturally once the physical mechanics are sound. Feel free to bring your current pieces to our next meeting."

"Teaching feels like passing down the specific scent of wooden bodies and worn nylon strings found in my early guitar workshops. My path began as a self-taught guitarist before I earned my music degree and spent 13 years gigging Latin music across Australia. I am rooted in the Chilean nueva canción tradition and enjoy the quiet discipline of the instrument.
