About Brenda
I am currently in my last year of my Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences, minoring in Psychology as an honors pre-med student. I have two years of tutoring experience with students in elementary, middle, and high school in a variety of subjects. I am particularly passionate about teaching Biology and Chemistry, as I have gained extensive knowledge and experience in these areas throughout my academic career

When tutoring, I easily adapt to each student's learning style by providing any necessary resources that supports their preferences. I encourage the practice of active learning with my students to be able to fully understand where they may need extra support.
My typical lesson plan (adaptable to each student):
1. Review previous material (if applicable)
2. Establish what needs to be studied today
3. Work through topics together and explain any new concepts. Allow student to work through problems individually. During this we will work on tips and tricks for assessing certain problems. This will take up the majority of the time.
5. Quick summary of topics discussed today.
I have tutored children of a variety of ages from maths and sciences for 2 years. I have previous experience working with children that may have learning disabilities therefore, I am open to continue doing this.
I can tutor any student from elementary, middle, and high school in any sciences and elementary and middle school math.
