About Mark
I’m a senior citizen myself, so I understand that learning new technology as an older adult can be very different from growing up with it. I also understand how frustrating it can be when someone explains something too quickly, assumes you already know the basics, or uses technical terms without explaining what they mean.
What makes my background unusual is that I’m both a senior and a technology professional. I have more than 30 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Architect, so I can combine decades of technical knowledge with an understanding of the questions and concerns people in my own generation have about today's rapidly changing technology.
I enjoy taking complicated subjects and explaining them in clear, everyday language. There are no embarrassing questions and no expectation that you should already know how something works. If we need to go over something several times or try a different way of explaining it, that's perfectly fine.
I can help you become more comfortable with computers, smartphones, tablets, the internet, online safety, and newer technologies such as ChatGPT and artificial intelligence.
My goal isn't to turn you into a computer expert. It's to help you understand and use the technology that is useful to you, at your pace, so you can feel more confident using it on your own and benefiting from it.

Who would AI and technology benefit the most? Us senior citizens!
But who is patient enough to teach us without making us feel dumb? Me! I am one of you who spent his career in technology. I want to spread that knowledge to all of you. Afterall, technology should make our life easier, not more frustrating. I provide patient, one-on-one help for seniors and adults who want to become more comfortable and confident using today's computers, smartphones, artificial intelligence, and everyday technology.
Lessons are customized around what you want to learn. There is no set curriculum and no pressure to keep up with a class. We work at your pace, and you can ask as many questions as you need.
I can help you learn how to use ChatGPT and other AI tools, Windows computers, smartphones and tablets, email, the internet, apps, photos and files, video calling, online accounts, cloud storage, and other everyday technology.
I can also help you understand online safety, passwords, suspicious emails and messages, common scams, and ways to use technology more safely and confidently.
With more than 30 years of professional technology experience, I’m accustomed to taking complicated technical subjects and explaining them in clear, everyday language.
